Planning your honeymoon?

This is such a fun part of getting married! We took our honeymoon a little late (like 3 years late) but we want to tell you a little bit about our experience with Cocobay Resort in Antigua and why we think you might want to check it out for yourself. This little resort is the perfect escape for any reason not just the honeymoon. This place specializes in romance that’s for sure!

I also want to give a shout out to the amazing couples we met while we were there. We did four photoshoots during our stay at Cocobay Resort in Antigua and wish I could go back to do more!

All inclusive

If you are anything like me you like to drink and eat (maybe a little too much) so when I was looking for a resort this was my priority for this trip and they did not disappoint. You are greeted with a rum punch cocktail at check in and even have a bottle of wine + champagne in your room and don’t forget your room has a stocked mini fridge! The gourmet menu changes daily and you also can get unlimited bar bites (pizza, wings, and fries!!!).

If Al is working have him do rounds of shots for everyone!

Romance

Where to begin on the romance. First of all its a tropical island with clear blue water with views that look like a screen saver. Just being there with the one you love is romantic but they offer so much more than that. Couples massages, private dinner on the beach for two, private cottages with personal pools, and floating pool breakfast (or sushi). This small resort is not overcrowded no matter where you are.

Amazing staff

Couldn’t write this without mentioning about the staff because they made this experience amazing. They are so kind, accommodating and so much fun! They were personable and upbeat even though we were there during a tropical storm that caused a lot of destruction to their island they were there with smiles on their faces making sure we were all having the best time.

Affordable

Luxury vacations at all inclusive resorts can get pricey. We chose to get the most expensive cottage we could but they have so many to choose from that are so affordable. We purchased the romance package and went all out but you could get this same experience with a much smaller room and then adding all the add ons! We were already pricing a trip back before we left!

They offer wedding packages as well! So keep that in mind if you would love to elope somewhere tropical (and bring yours truly to photograph it of course)
